Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease

Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease is commonly called Hardening of the Arteries.

It is the build up inside the coronary arteries of cholesterol, fatty acids calcium, tissue and cells, which is normally referred to as plaque.

There is currently no method of detecting this disease in it's early stages so when the first symptoms appear, the disease is normally far advanced.

The normal medication prescribed is from a group called Statins

However as with all heart disease there is a lot that you can do yourself to halt the progression of Atherosclerotic Heart Disease

Reduce abdominal fat.

Keep blood glucose levels <5.0.

Aerobic exercise.

Diet – increase omega 3

Supplement- Multi-vitamin and magnesium
