Coronary Heart Disease

Coronary Heart Disease is the result of a progressive build up of plaque within your arteries supplying blood and oxygen to the heart.

This build up takes place over many years and until you develop angina or Healthy Artery

suffer from a heart attack you will not be aware of the situation.

Angina occurs when the build up of plaque constricts the arteries to such an extent that the blood and oxygen supplies to the heart are substantially reduced.

A heart attack occurs when the plaque ruptures and a clot is formed which blocks the artery.

So although the heart attack may be sudden and often without warning, the causes will have been building up unnoticed and undetected over many years.

It’s Your Heart. It’s Your Life.

It’s Your Choice.
